Holly Swann VT – ARC Assistant / Coordinator

Holly is a new graduate of the veterinary technician program at University of Guelph, Ridgetown campus. She has been working in the veterinary industry since high school. 

Holly has always been fascinated with animal rehabilitation and wildlife care. She spent some time in Edmonton, Alberta working at a wildlife rehabilitation centre before joining the ARC team. She hopes to become a rehabilitation practitioner and enjoys learning what she can from assisting at ARC. She is always on the lookout to learn new things. She looks forward to her future studies with help from her bulldog, Monty.

Jennifer Pike VT, CAPR – ARC Rehab Practitioner

Jennifer is a Veterinary technician and companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation Practitioner (CAPR). She has been working with ARC for 8 years starting as a co-operative education student.

Jennifer graduated with a Veterinary Technician diploma from Sheridan College in 2013. A cooperative education placement opportunity brought her to ARC. She developed a passion for rehab after witnessing the benefits and decided that would become her career. In 2014 Jennifer graduated with a graduate certificate from Northern Colleges Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation program with honours.

Jennifer spends her free time at her cottage with family and friends, or enjoying the outdoors with her Chocolate Lab Brown Dog and Border Collie Mix Beanie who often can be seen at ARC with the team.

Stacey K VT, CCRP – ARC Rehab Practitioner

Stacey grew up in Kingston, and had the opportunity to work as an assistant at a clinic there to start her career. She knew from this point that she wanted to work with animals, as she is passionate about their care and welfare.

She graduated from the St. Clair Veterinary Technician Program in 2002, and has worked in clinical practice ever since.  She joined the Animal Rehabilitation centre in the spring of 2019 as part of her CCRP training.  Stacey attended the Rehabilitation Certificate Program (CCRP) from the University of Tennessee to become certified in rehab in 2019.

She has been dividing her time between the Animal Rehabilitation centre and clinical practice since then. Outside of work Stacey enjoys travelling and even spent some time living in Australia and New Zealand. She currently shares her home with a gorgeous cat named Squash.

Tracy_McKenzie

Tracy McKenzie VT, CCRP – ARC Owner/Operator

Tracy is a veterinary technician and a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner. She has been responsible for the rehab centre’s operations since its inception in 2005 and assumed ownership in 2011. 

Tracy received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from McMaster University and worked for four years in the mutual fund industry. Looking for a career that would be more fulfilling, she returned to school to pursue a diploma in Veterinary Technology.  In 2002 Tracy graduated from Ridgetown College with honours and worked for several years as a registered veterinary technician for the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto.

In 2008 Tracy completed the Canine Rehabilitation Certification Program at the University of Tennessee earning her CCRP designation. She considers herself very fortunate to have found a vocation that is rewarding every day.
